Capital, run
like a system.
“We run a long equity core with a disciplined covered-call carry overlay to produce cashflow, and we allocate a capped premium risk-budget to calls for convex upside. Income funds torque; risk budgets protect survivability.”
Three sleeves. One discipline.
The strategy fits in a sentence because the work isn’t in the strategy — it’s in the execution, the limits, and the ledger that governs both.
Long equity core
Quality names held with intention. The core is the balance sheet of the business — built position by position, each with written risk terms from day one.
Covered-call overlay
A disciplined carry program that converts the core into cashflow. Premium income is the payroll of the operation — recurring, measured, and reinvested by rule.
Capped premium risk-budget
A hard-capped allocation to long calls for convex upside. The budget is set in writing before the trade exists — torque is bought with income, never with survival.

The Business Engine Playbook
Most trading runs on judgment and memory. This business runs on a ratified, version-controlled playbook — the same discipline that runs a factory floor, applied to capital.
Every decision in the business routes through a written engine: defined entries, defined exits, position sizing by formula, and pass/fail gates that a trade must clear before it exists. No gate, no trade.
Nothing is automatic and nothing is remembered — it’s recorded. Every engine run produces a decision-log row. Every parameter change is proposed in writing, ratified, and logged before it takes effect. Every override is itself a documented decision.
The books reconcile against the broker — not the other way around. Monthly KPI reviews, quarterly retunes, and a yearly reckoning keep the system honest. Hard exposure caps and portfolio circuit breakers mean no single conviction, however loud, can reach survival.

Never automatic
Every action is a documented decision or a documented pre-commitment. Automation extends the operator — it never replaces the ruling.
Verify, never attest
Broker over workbook, workbook over memory. Every claim carries its source and timestamp, or it carries an UNVERIFIED flag.
No dummy data
A fake row in a real ledger compounds into a fake business. Placeholder numbers are prohibited everywhere, always.
Hard caps, not vibes
Exposure limits, concentration limits by theme and sector, and per-trade budgets are written numbers — enforced before entry, not debated after.
Circuit breakers
Portfolio heat is measured, and defined loss ladders trigger defined responses. Drawdown has a procedure, so it never needs a hero.
Change is governed
New rules require a written proposal, ratification, and a log entry before deployment. The system evolves — by amendment, never by drift.
A one-person firm with a payroll of agents
Ledger Capital Systems delegates work to AI agents the way a company hires employees: each one operates under a ratified operating agreement, subordinate to the Playbook, with defined authority and graduated autonomy. No agreement, no agent.
The Manager
Ratifies every rule, rules on every conflict, and owns every decision that matters. Agents nominate, monitor, and execute within grants — the Manager decides.
Every autonomy grant flows from here
The Operator
Runs a dedicated book under the strictest grant in the company — documented pre-commitments, human approval where the agreement demands it, a logged row for every run.
Operates engines · never rewrites them
SCOUT
Sweeps the screens, reads the instruments, and files evidence-first candidate cards. SCOUT nominates and cites — it never places an order and never asserts a verdict.
Structured evidence or it didn’t happen
WATCHTOWER
Maintains the live trigger register, watches every line the business has drawn, and issues briefs and crossing notes. It reports crossings — it never adjudicates them.
The one who never sleeps and never decides
The systems are becoming the product
Everything above was built to run one book well. The next phase of the business is productizing that discipline — capital trading and management systems for operators who want governance, not just automation.
The governed-agent framework
Operating agreements, graduated autonomy, human-in-the-loop approvals, and structured logging — a working model for putting AI to work on real capital without giving up control.
Business instrumentation
Decision logs, risk registers, parameter change control, and KPI dashboards that keep a trading operation audit-clean — designed, built, and battle-tested in production.
Agents & applications

The founder
Cesar J. Prado spent a decade in production control inside one of the highest-volume manufacturing environments in the world — production planning, material flow, scheduling, and the operational analytics that keep an assembly line fed.
Factories taught him the lesson this business is built on: output is a byproduct of process. Lines stay fed because someone wrote the schedule, tracked the WIP, and root-caused the miss — not because someone hoped.
In 2023 he brought that discipline to capital. Ledger Capital Systems is a one-person operation where every system, procedure, and record is designed, built, and operated by the founder — and where the operating standard is simple: if it isn’t written down, it isn’t real.
